Apparently this was made specifically for WalMart to keep the price down. This is a cheapened version of the very same air rifle you'd get from another store. Even the box that the air rifle is packaged in is exactly the same as those sold by other stores.Differences include:-The plastic in both the stock and foregrip is thinner and smooth instead of textured.The receiver seems to have cheaper plastic-type content versus the all-metal construction normally found in this air rifle sold at other stores.(It's only reasonable to suspect that internal differences may exist as well).Other Cons:-Scopes on both models are equally crummy.
(get a BSA.22 scope).-The front fiber optic sight on both models are worthless. Too large to get any appreciable accuracy.Pros:Accuracy is the same between the regular model and the WalMart model. That's what really counts for me.Frankly, this cheapened WalMart version of the product still works for me just fine because I'm gentle with equipment.However, if you (or your kid) is going to be anything but gentle with this product, I'd recommend paying more to purchase the more robust version from another vendor. This air rifle is really accurate with pellets! Multi-pump design makes it handy for use in a close knit neighborhood, as you choose the number of pumps required for the job.
